November 1998 - Tokyo - Pictured with Japanese euphonium virtuoso, Shiochiro Hokazono, Euphonium Soloist with the Japan Air Self Defense Band. A legend in his own right.

November 1999 - Izu - Diving off the Izu Peninsula with friends Yuko and Mirumi before heading to Australia for the Tuba Mania Conference.

November 1999 - Tokyo - Sponsorship sources have been sought in many places, but the soft drink companies of Japan still do not see the benefits of the sponsorship of an American Euphonium soloist.
