Demondrae Thurman, a member of the Sotto Voce Tuba Quartet, and professor at the University of Alabama.  Several of the pieces on this CD were written for him, and he has championed others. Because of his gospel, jazz, R&B and hip-hop background, Thurman’s ideas about music are fresh and unique. On this album he is joined by the Alabama Wind Ensemble and the University of Wisconsin-Madison Chamber Orchestra
