Isaji - A Trip Around Wakwak Island
NOTE: There was a delay from the publisher in Japan and we expect to be shippign these late in early October.
A Trip Around Wakwak Island for solo euphonium was composed by Sunao Isaji. According to Isaji, "Wakwak Island is a wander island with a variety of legends in medieval Arabian literature. The word Wakwak is said to be derived from the pronunciation of an old Chinese work "ua-kuek" that refers to Wakoku, an ancient word for Japan. In the magical island, there are plenty of gold and strange trees called Ninjinka that produce humans...For people in ancient Arab, India and Europe, Japan, the country lying off farther east of China, might be a foreign exotic place where they could never actually step foot but visit in their creative imagination."
