Ayala, Camilo - Fiesta en mi Pueblo

Fiesta en mi pueblo (Festival in My Town) is a musical
journey through a traditional Colombian village celebration. The
work begins with the calm of the night and the anticipation of the
alborada, the early-morning musical awakening that announces the
start of the festivities. As the piece unfolds, it incorporates
elements of cumbia, porro, bambuco, and fandango, creating a
vibrant musical narrative that reflects the joy, identity, and sense of
community found in Colombian culture. More than a depiction of
a celebration, the work serves as a tribute to the traditions that
continue to unite generations and shape the cultural life of
Colombian towns.
