Barr - Entrada for Euph Quartet - DOWNLOAD

Entrada was commissioned by the 2011 Euphonium Foundation Consortium Commission.  Stephen captured the agility of the instrument in a fast paced and rhythmic work that requires 4 solid players on each part. The middle section features a lovely melody with a nice motivic background. 

The work was dedicated to Brian Meixner and the River Bottom Quartet. Brian has been a long supported of the Euphonium Foundation and introduced Stephen’s music to the euphonium community with his superb Ethereal waves for Euphonium and Percussion Quintet.
