Gomez, Alice - Bonampak

Bonampak was commissioned by Velvet Brown, and the first tuba piece that I had written. The inspiration for this piece came from cave drawings of Mayan Indians blowing into hollowed out tree trunks. The drawings are located in Bonampak, which is an ancient archeological Mayan site in Chiapas, Mexico.
