Improvisations for Solo Euphonium was born of the desire to bring composer and performer closer together, in order to rediscover the authenticity and naturalness of playing that is often overlooked in complex, written music. In fact, these three short movements emanate from improvisations, each in a musical genre of which this one is the very essence.

Born in 1999, Clément Couty began his musical studies in the Clermont-Ferrand region of France before joining the prestigious National Conservatory of Lyon in 2018 in the classes of Bastien Baumet, Guillaume Dionnet and Arnaud Boukhitine.
