The thing about living in Africa, or even travelling here, is that the air gets under your skin. There is a prevailing sense of both beauty and something sinister that lurks in the veld, its cities, its forests and seas.

This piece was composed for Aaron Campbell in 2016 and gives an impression of the cyclical nature of South Africa's skyline and a reminder that even with such great beauty, life here can be discordant and full of vivacity.
