Verdi - Messa da Reqiuem

In 1874, Verdi wrote the Messa da Requiem in honor of Alessandro Manzoni, an Italian poet, novelist, and philosopher. It is sometimes known as the Manzoni Requiem, and was originally composed for four soloists, double choir, and orchestra. The two movements arranged are the Dies Irae and Tuba Mirum, both parts of a typical requiem mass.
