Wesolowski - Euphory Concerto (String Orchestra Version)
Wesolowski - Euphory Concerto (String Orchestra Version)
Polish composer Adam Wesolowski wrote this work in 3 movements in 2019.
The euphoric Euphory Concerto for euphonium may indeed be undemanding for the listener, but it was composed as a virtuoso vehicle for the remarkable euphonium soloist Steven Mead, and is accordingly not short of technical demands. The first movement is lyrical, making the most of the solo instrument's mellifluous singing character. The second is a humorous scherzo, with slaps and percussive plosives on the euphonium mouthpiece and body emulating 'beatbox' rhythm, and the finale is a vigorous , bravura dance.
THIS IS THE EDITION FOR STRING ORCHESTRA AND EUPHONIUM. THE SOLO PART IS ONLY IN BASS CLEF.
